Radiofrequency Microneedling
Radiofrequency Microneedling is an innovative treatment that combines the tightening power of radiofrequency energy with the skin-transforming abilities of microneedling. RF Microneedling creates tiny punctures into the deep layers of the skin that initiate a wound response in the tissue and as part of that healing response, your skin cells and collagen fibers regenerate themselves. Microneedling Pen®
Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses small needles to create puncture wounds in the skin. The tiny punctures then activate the body’s natural ability to heal wounds which encourages the renewal of skin cells and accelerates the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. Frequently Asked Questions
Microneedling does not require any special preparation. However, please try to avoid sun exposure for a few days before and after your treatment. Avoid using Retin-A or other acne medications several days before your appointment.
After your treatment, you may experience some redness and swelling. This is completely normal and will subside within a few hours or days. Please avoid sunlight and using Retin-A for a few days after your treatment. We also recommend using a moisturizer to help keep your skin hydrated.
Microneedling is well tolerated by most patients. Prior to the treatment, we can apply a numbing cream to minimize the discomfort that may be felt during the procedure. Microneedling is safe to use on all skin types and all skin colours. There is no risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
In most cases, Microneedling does not require any downtime. Some slight redness and swelling may occur, which should dissipate within a few days. If you have any concerns or unusual symptoms, please contact us right away.
