The average dermal filler appointment lasts 30-45 minutes. After thoroughly assessing the treatment area, our expert nurse injector will inject the filler in the specified area. The area will be massaged to help it settle in after the filler is injected.
Dermal fillers can last for up to 6-18 months depending on the area. Each individual’s body metabolizes the filler differently. Dermal fillers have lidocaine incorporated into the filler to minimize discomfort and are generally well tolerated. We apply a numbing cream for added comfort during treatment. Most clients report only minor and brief discomfort during the injection process.
It is recommended that patients avoid blood thinners prior to treatment if their health care provider has given the okay. Please inform us if you are taking any medications or supplements. Before your appointment, please avoid alcohol and coffee. Fillers are almost immediate and do not require any downtime. However, seeing the final results can take up to 2 weeks.
Bruising, swelling, and redness are the most common side effects of dermal fillers. It is completely normal to experience these side effects, and they usually disappear within a few days. After the treatment, you will receive an ice pack for further comfort.
